Building on the success of the Summer Collection series first launched in 2009 at Souq Waqif, al markhiya gallery presented Summer Collection – Part 1 | 2015 as a continuation of its commitment to contemporary artistic dialogue and exchange.
The exhibition brought together a diverse group of artists working across different styles and mediums, reflecting the dynamic nature of contemporary art practices in Qatar and the wider region. Through painting, drawing, and mixed media, the participating artists explored themes ranging from memory and identity to abstraction and everyday experience.
As part of the gallery’s ongoing summer program, the exhibition reaffirmed Summer Collection as a recurring platform that supports both emerging and established artistic voices.
