SILENT WITNESSES

Works by Majdulin Nasrallah

Majdulin Nasrallah (b. 1996) is a Palestinian interdisciplinary designer, educator, and visual artist based in Doha, Qatar. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Design Studies and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. Drawing on concepts of memory, transitionality, and displacement, Nasrallah explores the dialogue between beings, places, and objects. Working across painting, textiles, designed objects, and spatial interventions, she creates work that moves between the intimate and the political, the personal and the collective.

She has exhibited in Qatar, Palestine, the UAE, the USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, and Russia.

Silent Witnesses examines how familiar objects, rooted in intimacy and routine, hold new meanings when recontextualized through violence, displacement, and fragmentation. Nasrallah’s compositions trace the fragile threshold between comfort and collapse, revealing how tenderness and terror can coexist within the same frame, and how objects continue to hold memory long after it has fractured, altering the way the familiar is perceived and remembered.
