Palestinian Artist:
Mohammed Al Hawajri
The circumstances I live in, transformed into works of Modern art, are inspirational and rich in subject matter. Through painting, video, photography, and other Modern art techniques, I address and present my reality to viewers. My interest in Modern art comes from my belief that technology plays a powerful role in creativity, particularly in visual arts. My work reflects the daily lives of people in Gaza amid changing political, economic, and social conditions. I am constantly searching for new possibilities, dialogue, and techniques to express thoughts emerging from an often-bitter reality, transforming these circumstances into critical and sometimes sarcastic interventions that invite viewers to engage with important human concerns.
Mohammed Al-Hawajri was born in 1976 in Gaza, Palestine. Mohammed continues to live and work in Bureij refugee camp in Gaza.
His artistic practice draws inspiration from the realities and transformations of everyday life in Gaza. Through painting, photography, video, and contemporary art techniques, I explore political, social, and human experiences shaped by constant change. Interested in the relationship between technology and visual art, I continuously experiment with new forms, dialogues, and methods of expression. My works often combine critical reflection with subtle sarcasm, inviting viewers to engage with complex human realities through a broader and more accessible perspective.
