MANAR AL-MUFTAH

Manar Al-Muftah – is a Graphic Designer and a Visual Artist. Born in Qatar in 1985, her interest in art and design made her pursue her studies in Virginia Commonwealth University, Qatar, which she graduated from in 2007 with a BFA in Graphic Design.
Based in Doha, Manar has been influenced by the rapid change happening in the last few decades and continuing until today in her hometown. Inspired by Arabic Calligraphy, a favorite topic that she consistently goes back to, her work projects heritage and traditions, but in a modern and contemporary interpretation of her own, expressed through printmaking and the use of collages
