Issa Halloum

Issa Halloum is a Lebanese painter who has established himself as a prominent figure in the world of contemporary art. After graduating from the National Institute of Fine Art in Lebanon in 1993, he continued his artistic education at the Academia di Bera in Milan, where he received his diploma in 1999. Throughout his career, Halloum has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the Middle East and beyond, including in countries such as Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, and Italy.

Nature is the main source of inspiration for Halloum, and he often depicts richly textured landscapes with vivid colours and airy configurations. The artist’s works embrace the painting medium, emphasizing the flatness of the canvas. Halloum also experiments with the surface and texture of materials when painting sculptures, rendering illusions of flatness.
