Ismail Nasra -Born in 1964 graduated from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus in 1987. Throughout his career, Nasra worked as a professor at the Adham Ismail Center for Fine Arts and won many awards including first prize in the Young Artists Exhibition in 1998 and the Oil Painting Competition.
Ismail Nasra’s first verified exhibition was Ismail Nasra and Ghazwan Allaf at Almarkhiya Gallery in Doha in 2009, and the most recent exhibition was Beyond War at Galleri Nord-Norge in Harstad in 2022. Ismail Nasra is most frequently exhibited in Qatar, but also had exhibitions in Italy, Norway. Nasra has at least no solo shows but 3 group shows over the last 13 years (for more information, see biography). Nasra has also been in no less than no art fairs but in one biennial. A notable show was 59th Venice Biennale – The Milk of Dreams at La Biennale di Venezia in Venice in 2022. Other notable shows were at al markhiya Gallery in Doha and Galleri Nord-Norge in Harstad. Ismail Nasra has been exhibited with Laila Shawa and Youssef Ahmed.
