About the Artists
Aisha Al Sulaiti is a self-taught and self-made artist whose passion and skill for all things art was evident since childhood. Her unique style which crosses between classical, impressionism, and more recently, abstract realism using different mediums and techniques to bridge the past and present makes her stand out in the industry. Inspired by Qatar’s history, tradition, and natural landscape, her works reflect her heritage with a contemporary twist and have been showcased at various local art fairs and exhibitions. Through her art, she illustrates the internal significance of her surroundings and observations rather than their external appearance.
Amna Al-Darwish is a Fine Art graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, specialising in Interior Design. With a lifelong passion for art, her interest in visual expression began in middle school, focusing on drawing and painting on canvas. Since graduating, Amna has dedicated herself to learning new painting techniques and exploring various artistic mediums. Initially drawn to impressionism, she has eagerly ventured into contemporary art and other creative fields. Through her artwork, Amna captures the unique beauty of her surroundings and reflects her personal connections to the past. Her aim is to inspire others and evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the world we inhabit.
Asma Al-Mannai, a young Qatari artist, studied business administration at Qatar University and has a strong passion for art. She excels in various techniques like painting, photography, sculpture, and design. Currently, she works as an art teacher at the Museum of Modern Arab Art and has participated in joint exhibitions both within and outside Qatar, focusing on purebred Arabian horses and collectibles. In 2019, she was selected for an artistic residency in Paris through the Doha Fire Station residency program. She later showcased a personal exhibition inspired by her experience there.
Hind Al-Obaidli is a self-taught portrait artist with a keen interest in studying the human figure and its transformation within various environments. In her recent works, Hind captures moments where the human body is immersed in water, delving into the delicate balance between abstraction and realism. Through her art, she presents the human body as a fragmented, incomplete, and imperfect entity, inviting contemplation and exploration.
