Jamal Abdul Rahim is a Bahrani artist and self-taught creator. His personal journey in the art world has allowed him the freedom to experiment and occasionally stretch the boundaries of conventional image-making.
Abdul Rahim’s prints, sculptures, and paintings use imagery inspired by varied sources. His influences range from the curving forms of Arabic calligraphy to the ancient stories of Gilgamesh and Greek mythology, along with the legacy of pop art portraiture. Brought together, these elements create Abdul Rahim’s bold visual language steeped in his personal vision.
