Ismail Azzam was born in Iraq in 1962.  He earned a diploma in fine arts in 1983 from the Institute of Art in Mosul and a BFA in fine art from Baghdad University.  He is a member of the Iraqi Artists Association.

Salem Mathkour was born in southern Iraq in the city of Al-Emarah, known as “the Iraqi village.”He later moved to AmanJordan where he began to exhibit his early efforts in painting. While there, he emerged as a celebrated teacher of painting and a notable new talent.
