ALGERIAN ARTIST HAMZA BOUNOUA
Hamza Bounoua was born in 1979 in Algeria, facing the blue sea with its back to the hot desert, I could not help but be inspired by those civilizations which brought enlightenment from Spain, African mysticism and Islamic architecture. Combined, they shaped the basis to most of my creations. I let my brush strokes form those elongated silhouettes, inspired by those tall Berbers. One cannot see them from far away, but they exist and were part of a society who knew how to struggle the elements with their head up with pride.
