''DIRECTIONS" bring together a dynamic body of work by Salman Al-Malek, exploring the interplay between color, form, and emotion. Moving between abstraction and expression, his paintings are driven by instinct and memory, where figures emerge and dissolve within vibrant, tension-filled surfaces.

Salman Al Malek was born in Qatar in 1958. He received a BA in education and art from Cairo University in 1982. Salman lives and works in Qatar.

The exhibition highlights an evolving practice one that continually redefines its own path while engaging with the complexities of contemporary artistic expression.

Through bold chromatic contrasts and fluid lines, Al-Malek constructs a visual language that reflects both personal and cultural narratives. Each work invites open interpretation, offering shifting perspectives that unfold through sensation rather than fixed meaning.
