“50 x 50 PART 9”

Part 9 of the 50 x 50 series continues al markhiya gallery’s ongoing commitment to supporting and showcasing locally based artists through a dynamic and accessible exhibition platform. Since its launch in 2017, 50 x 50 has become one of the gallery’s most anticipated recurring exhibitions, celebrating the diversity and vitality of the contemporary art scene in Qatar.

This edition brings together works by 18 contemporary artists whose practices span a wide range of styles, mediums, and artistic perspectives. Each participating artist has created specially sized compositions limited to 50 x 50 centimetres, transforming the constraint of scale into an opportunity for experimentation, precision, and creative dialogue.

Through painting, mixed media, abstraction, and conceptual approaches, 50 x 50 – Part 9 offers audiences an engaging insight into the evolving visual language of contemporary art in the region. The exhibition also creates an accessible platform for collectors to acquire original artworks that are both affordable and thoughtfully scaled for a variety of spaces.
